Ferro Silicon Introduction:

Silicon Metal processed by excellent industrial silicon and including full varieties. Used in electro, metallurgy and chemical industry. It is silver gray or dark gray powder with metallic luster, which be of high melting point, good heat resistance, high resistivity and superior oxidation resistance, it's called "industrial glutamate", which is an essential basic raw material in hi-tech industry.

     FerroSilicon is a kind of ferroalloy which is composed of iron and silicon. FerroSilicon is made by electric furnace with the raw materials coke, quartz (or silica) and iron scrap. Due to the silicon and oxygen are easily compound into SiO2, so ferro silicon is often used as deoxidizer in steelmaking.

Ferro Silicon Aapplication:    

     (1) Used as an oxidant and alloy in the steelmaking industry.

     (2) Used as pollen and nodular agent in cast iron industry

     (3) Used as a reducing agent in the production of ferroalloys.

     (4) Use in other fields. Ground or small iron and silicon powder can be used as a suspension table in the mineral processing industry. It can be used as electrode coating in electrode manufacturing. High-iron silicon can be used to manufacture silicon and other products in the chemical industry.
